Biography

I’m Sylvain, an ecologist at CIRAD (https://www.cirad.fr), a French research center working with developing countries on environmental and development issues. I am currently conducting research into modeling the joint effect of climate change and anthropogenic disturbance on the dynamics of Amazonian tropical forests.

Software

LoggingLab
LoggingLab: A new individual-based and spatially-explicit logging simulator.

rcontroll
rcontroll integrates the individual-based and spatially-explicit TROLL model to simulate forest ecosystem and species dynamics forward in time. rcontroll provides user-friendly functions to set up and analyse simulations with varying community compositions, ecological parameters, and climate conditions.

SSDM
Allows to map species richness and endemism based on stackedspecies distribution models (SSDM). Individuals SDMs can be created using asingle or multiple algorithms (ensemble SDMs). For each species, an SDM canyield a habitat suitability map, a binary map, a between-algorithm variancemap, and can assess variable importance, algorithm accuracy, and between-algorithm correlation.
